We are utterly thrilled, over the moon, head over heels and can’t control ourselves delighted to announce our partnership with the Scientific Exploration Society (SES) and Neville Shulman CBE!
Last night, our team were presented with the Neville Shulman Film Award 2018 at the SES Explorer Awards in London for our upcoming expedition to the Peruvian Amazon.
The SES is one of the longest standing exploration organisations in the world. Founded by Colonel John Blashford-Snell in 1969, it aims to lead, fund, inspire and support scientific discovery, research and conservation in remote parts of the world.
To be selected by the organisation as one of this year’s Pioneers with Purpose is an incredible opportunity and a great privilege. We really can’t thank the organisation enough for sponsoring our expedition and we are so excited to work together.
Our expedition will report on an illegal road being built through Manu Biosphere Reserve - a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most biodiverse places on Earth. You can read more about our expedition plans here, and you can learn more about the SES and its Explorer Awards here.
We have long admired the solutions-focussed approach of the SES, and its support for individuals with a passion for environmental sustainability and conservation. So it is with great delight that we join this year’s group of award recipients - and what amazing company to be keeping:
Eleanor Drinkwater, from Expedition Titan
Eleanor Flatt, from Exploration Sira
Olivia Grant, from The Tale of the Last Lorikeet
Glaucia del Rio, from The Emilie Snethlage Expedition
Merlin Hetherington, from
As well as honorary awards to the inspiring:
